- Cryogenic Treatment: Materials are cooled to approximately -310°F using liquid nitrogen, which removes residual stresses.
- Controlled Reheating: Temperature is then gradually increased back to room temperature, followed by a mild heat treatment process.
This method ensures that our cryo-treated studs provide:
- Smoother Installation:** Parts tighten down smoothly and retain their torque longer.
- Enhanced Clamping Force: Achieved without the twisting of the shaft, purely through the force of the nut against the washer.
- Durability: Studs, nuts, and washers are reusable and maintain their integrity over time
KEY FEATURES OF C15 CRYO-TREATED STUD KIT:
- Plastic Sleeves: Each stud comes in a plastic sleeve, color-coded by length. Nuts and washers are bagged separately.
- Torque Specifications: No additional tightening needed. Use OE torque specifications and torque sequence.
